1. Expert on Somali immigration to speak at Carleton College

    Professor Abdi Kusow, a noted sociologist who has written extensively about African immigration to North America, will speak at Carleton College on Thursday, January 27, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Alumni Guest House, located at the corner of First and College Streets in Northfield. Entitled “Somali Immigrants in the United States: Conceptualizing Transnational Migration in a Stateless Global Context,” this event is free and open to the public.
